Meditation

Finally, we have started meditating; nothing really complicated, all we do is sitting before the breakfast 10 min and breath.
It has been 4 months and we believe that we’ve already experienced positive benefits.

  • We focus our tasks better
  • Under pressure I feel calmer than I used to be
  • I feel happier and relaxed
  • Especially if we can do it early morning, it prepares us for our day
  • It also helps us sleep better

Here is how we do it:

  • Sit comfortably on a cushion or blanket
  • Close your eyes, and focus on your breath
  • The idea is to be present by focusing on your breathing
  • Simply natural breathing and relaxation practice
  • Inhale and exhale through your nose
  • Count your breath until 10 and start over again 10 to 20 mins.

 

Probably your mind will explore all other things. Once you are aware of your thoughts, you are not in the present moment anymore, so you will tell your mind to pay attention to your breathing again. And start counting from 1 to 10.

To be honest, it is very hard for me to stay still. As soon as we start meditating, I would feel itchy, or I would start sneezing. However, I am getting better each day.
