Yoga and Meditation

Yoga and meditation are life changers for many reasons. Not only do they have physical health benefits but also, they make us motivated and emotionally strong. I feel blessed that it is part of my life finally.

My husband and I do yoga at least 2 times a week. We prefer Yin Yoga which allows us to hold each position from 3 to 5 min, and helps us to stretch and breathe. It is the only time that we invest ourselves in our busy schedule.

On Fridays, if we do yoga, we also stay for a guided meditation. It sometimes brings a tear to my eye. I feel relief after long, tiring week and feel lighter.

What I love about mediation is it forces me to stay still. It makes me aware of my thoughts and make me focus on breathing. We are trying to practice it every morning. We also purchased two mediation apps, which help us to understand and master it.

Here the benefit of yoga and meditation that we see;

  • We feel happier
  • We are more flexible, also my husband’s back pain is lessened since he started practicing yoga
  • We have been able to manage our stress level better
  • We love hot yoga; we believe that it cleanses toxins from our body
  • We became more mindful.
  • We are getting fitter; it is a great exercise.

If you are new to yoga, I would definitely recommend guided yoga, and yin, so you can get used to the poses.
